This winter, backcountry skiers will have a new tool for finding out about the best self-propelled powder skiing in the world: www.backcountrylodgesofbc.com.
BLBCA Executive Director Brad Harrison says, "Even though many guests stay at our lodges to escape e-mail and the ‘wired world,' the BLBCA recognizes the importance of having a good on-line presence that inspires people to find out about backcountry opportunities in B.C. and to link through directly to our members."
Here's what you'll find on the site: A complete listing of the 28 Backcountry Lodge of British Columbia Association member lodges-with hyperlinks-that allow you to ‘one-stop shop' for backcountry lodge information. A custom ‘Google Map' function that lets you pinpoint exactly where each lodge is. Information about the BLBCA in English, French, and German. Some mind-blowing pictures to fuel your stoke for the upcoming season! Photo albums featuring summer activities and "lodge life" are there, too.
In the winter, these lodges offer the greatest backcountry skiing experience in the world. Alpine tourers, telemarkers, split-board snowboarders, and even snowshoers and Nordic skiers visit B.C. backcountry lodges for epic powder and winter adventure.
